Our incredible twin birth!
Where do I start! Anna provided us with a 1:1 session of a Saturday morning and it was the best preparation we could have had.
The change in mindset and awareness of mind and body’s links began during the course. We found ourselves saying after ‘why didn’t we think of that’. The science and evidence of why the techniques work remind you of how we are designed to give birth!
Not only did the course help with my pregnancy anxieties I can honestly say my birth was incredible! Never thought I’d say that! I felt empowered!
Now, this is not to say it wasn’t pain free or that it was what I’d have written on paper but it was calm, informed and I was in control.
Trusting your body and your instincts and making an informed choice did mean we were back and forth to the hospital five days in a row…but that was my choice; and the right one.
We were induced by waters being broken early Friday morning, got to 5cm and then had the comfort relief of an epidural where I was still able to maintain some feeling after really talking it through with the anaesthetist.
By 9.01 my daughter was born and then at 9.10 my second! The consultant said ‘simplest twin delivery I’ve seen in my career’.
I know from describing my previous birth as traumatic that this birth was amazing and it was because of the knowledge, tools and positivity that we developed from Anna’s course.
